I. Howard Fine, M.D.
I. Howard Fine, M.D. is a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, a co-founder of the Oregon Eye Surgery Center and is in private practice in Eugene, Oregon specializing in cataract/IOL and refractive surgery.
He served as the president of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery in 2001 and is the secretary of the International Intraocular Implant Club.
Dr. Fine is among the cataract surgeons listed in all editions of The Best Doctors in America and the first edition of Marquis' Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare. In 1999, he was named one of the 25 most influential ophthalmologists of the 20th Century by a vote of 16,000 ophthalmologists worldwide. Dr. Fine did his undergraduate training at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his medical and ophthalmology training at the Boston University Medical Center.
